I am quite satisfied from the feedback I received from my fellow peers. Many say that their minds were changed towards the After School Policy but many also say that they did not take me seriously. I tried my best to keep a straight face, thus a few seconds before my presentation I took some time to "get serious." It is my fault that I am usually a fun and jovial guy, and so many didn't really take to my "serious" side. However I am happy to see that many students feel that my speech helped them realize how unfair this rule is. This was my original goal.
However many also feel I was rude to this school, which was a comment I found very peculiar as much as it was common. What the students of KIS will realize is that niceness will never get jobs done. Great orators such as Jonathan Edwards used fear tactics to get his point across. My intention was to invoke anger amongst the students, but obviously my plan went not as planned. I also want to apologize to Ms. Jacob if she was somehow offended by my strong wording (as many people have claimed). I seem to have carried away with how intense my topic was.
Overall I am glad because many people gave me good marks. Thanks everyone!
